🌿 Yes, deviled eggs are yummy, but that's not what this post is about!
This year, I'm on a mission to reduce, reuse, and recycle. One way to do that is to repurpose vintage items into art supplies.
Deviled egg platters make wonderful mixing palettes for watercolors. Look for them in your local antique stores, garage sales, and thrift shops. Maybe your grandmother has a few?
While shopping, make sure to choose a plate with a glazed (shiny) finish and true white, opaque color (not more transparent milk glass). That way the plate won't stain or interfere with the colors you're mixing.
I found hundreds of vintage deviled eggs plates on eBay and Etsy. Here's a handy list on eBay where I've selected the plates I think are the best candidates for mixing, and this is a similar list on Etsy.
