🌿 Sharing Kindness

🌿 Merriam-Webster defines kindness as "the quality or state of being kind." Okay, so what does kind mean? The dictionary says "of a sympathetic or helpful nature."

I made this little card hoping to spread a little of that compassion. Print one for your own journal as a reminder to be gracious to yourself. Mail them to friends as thank you notes. Or, frame one and place it on your desk.

This card pairs a thoughtful quote with several illustration elements from Canva Pro.

"How beautiful a day can be when kindness touches it." - George Elliston, 1929

Elliston was a journalist at the former Cincinnati Times-Star, and she donated $250,000 to the University of Cincinnati "to promote the cause of poetry." Wendell Berry and Mary Oliver are among the poets who have held faculty positions and residencies funded by Elliston's generosity.

I printed my line art card on watercolor paper with an Epson WorkForce Pro which has water-resistant ink. Then, I painted the flowers. You could also color them with crayons, markers, pastels, or pencils.

This is a 5" x 7" folded card which can be mailed in an A7 envelope. You can also fit it inside a typical picture frame.
